This is NASA/JPL-Caltech's What's Up video for October 2025, a guide to what you can see in the night sky that month. It covers the supermoon on the evening of October 6th, the Draconid meteor shower and the Orionid meteors. The narration is clear and full of useful sky words, which suits intermediate shadowing.

How to practise this clip

Listen for the rhythm of the three-part list in the second sentence, each part with its own action word: takes over, peeks through, sparkle.

  1. Listen to a sentence before you read it.
  2. Say it right after, at the speaker's pace, with the same pauses.
  3. After the first round, hide the text and practise from the sound alone.
